DOING, READING, SEEING
Several travels abroad, from two weeks to one year. Europe, Africa, Asia.
I gained from this a great curiosity for all that involves human and society, and a huge resource of visual inspiration.
What motivates me: music, Internet, architecture books, poetry, Time and Wired magazines, travelling, black and white photography, swimming, JM Dru's book "Disruption Live",working in a team, working on several projects in the same time.
My challenges now: confronting creativity and the practical sense of design with other fields of human sciences - sociology, politics, anthropology, cognitive sciences. This is the main reason of my interest for service design.
EVENTS that impressed me.
February 08: attending to the LIFT conference in Geneva - a conference about the social consequences of new technologies.
August 08: playing music with a brass band in Southern India (with local NGOs).
May 09: a study tour of british social innovation organised by "la 27°région" with think tanks and service design agencies in London.

A sound and light instalation
for the Maternity Hospital Les Bluets, Paris, march 08
Womba Womba is a room where young mothers can rest with their babies and listen to human voices and lullabies. Wooden pannels and vibrating devices have been used to create a sensation
of organic sound.
We worked in collaboration with a sound engineer, a programmer and the maternity staff, both on the prototype of the instalation and on the creation of the musical programs.

SeniorLAB, for the program "Living Longer"
a co-working process for the think-tank FING
(Next Generation of Internet Foundation)
april-may-june 2009
How to create innovative services for the elder public, on a both social and technological level?
This work, still in progress, is realised during my internship at the think tank FING (Next Internet Generation Foundation), for the 3 years program "Living longer", involving innovation for the elderly.

"Living longer" has been producing forecasting researches during 6 months, through working groups gathering sociologists, economists, entrepreneurs, members of associations and local authorities.
As a designer, my work is to help them to go from sharing information to produce innovative projects, with a social and human centered approach. The priority is given to relationnal systems (solidarity between generations, social networks...) and technological innovation.

How? We organize several workshops to co-design solutions with the users and with the specialists of the field.
Through user research (interviews with old persons, their families, their helpers) and creative tools (brainstormings, concept cards, barcamps..) we produced several ideas going from practical scenarios ("What if, tomorrw...") to prospective visions ("What if, in 2050..."). All this creative material can be seen on this blog: http://seniorlabfing.wordpress.com/

X_Quisit, a creative game for RATP
a co-design workshop for the Innovation Department of the parisian subway company.
How to lead RATP members and their main partners to find together start-points for future collaborative projects?
The goal of this event was to bring RATP members and their main partners to work together in a creative game; in order to find potential collaborative projects. We organized this workshop like a creative game, with short time working sessions and precise rules.
A second work for us was to give a feed back to RATP through key ideas illustrated in scenarios and pictures.

designing a robot with engineering students and programmers
(1st prize of the challenge "Robot-Cité" 2008)
What would be the place of the robots in the city of the future?

November 2008: the concept is presented via this inspiration video.
June 2009: a first prototype is used as an interactive multimedia interface at LIFT Conference in Marseille. The robot displays photos of the conference and is fed by the public itself.

International workshop with students
from Brussels, Venice, Tel Aviv and Glasgow
One week, January, 2008
An interactive sound map of Paris.
"Musical Arsenal" is a collaborative bank of urban sounds online.
The idea is to map the places of the city that produce their own music (metro noices, sounds of the materials, birds, water etc.)
Sound files can be mixed on a web platform with an opensource software, then shared with others via QR code identification. We experimented this project on the Arsenal Bridge, Paris 11°.

Currently:
Internship at the think tank "FING", Paris
(Fondation for New Generation of Internet)
as a service designer

Territoires en résidence
working with a multi-disciplinary team on a social innovation project organised by "la 27° région" in the suburbs of Bordeaux: the objective is to study and improve the local uses of the web 2.0 linked to the territory (participative maps, online photo albums...)
"Demain La Révolution"
Making a series of short movies for a political debate about the digital revolution. "Demain la révolution" shows the same story in different worlds: a man wakes up and a revolution has happened...
Next...
